    It is to get people to buy the Pro controller. It will allow an external device. I think they just left the feature out in "cheaper" screened controllers garnering more sales for the pro. Your controller $300, PRO $900, That's why.

    Ah, yes the app is built into the DJI RC, it is not designed to be used with an external device. You need an RC-N1 to use a phone or tablet.
