Batteries taking super long time to charge

Only had the Air 3 a short while but seems to take super long time to recharge the batteries.

I’m talking days. Something isn’t right. Tried different cables and usb outlets. Anyone else run into this?

Are you using phone charger type power blocks with horribly low output power ?
You need one that outputs at least 65 Watts to charge at the ideal rate.

I have the DJI OEM 65W charger which has built in lead and batteries take 3.5 hours in the charging hub for all 3 from about 10/15% to full charge.

Brands like Anker on Amazon do pretty good stuff

Get a decent charger! DJI sold you a state of the art Drone with the worlds worst charging solution. Get a Hanatora Charger and charging problems will be a thing of the past.

The charging time will dramatically decrease if you use a 100W charging block.

I use the Anker Nano Charger. It works well, is very compact, and affordable.

I think I have a 65w one here someplace. I was trying the ones from my wall outlets that had built in USB-C. Thanks.

Anyway. Tried various cables, 65w charger, etc. Had ONE battery in the charger case with 3/4 charge. Was on for 4 hours. Still not 100%. I'm perplexed. Bad charger? No idea. :/

I think I figured it out. I was using a usb-a to usb-c cable. Switched to a usb-c to usb-c and it worked much better. Did order the 100w block msinger suggested. So that should make things better as well. Thanks all.

Dammit - that very thought occurred to me as I was drifting off to sleep last night and I remembered that my charger has both USB A and C sockets, but that only the C socket dispenses maximum power ! I remember making the same mistake myself and wondering why the charging lights on the cradle moved so slowly...

YES, use a USB-C to USB-C connector with a 100 watt charger. I bought my charger at Best Buy and it works great!
One draw back, Only Charge the Batteries while using. Some chargers have other ports for charging your Transmitter as well, this will degrade the overall charging of your batteries.

It arrived yesterday. I'm glad I saw your post but how do I determine what a "P" type cable is? I have lots of different cables.

That's a good question! The charger I bought came with a cable. It is quite different than the "wrong" ones, more heft and I always keep it separate with my Mini 4 Pro drone. I am not sure if there is a indicator stamped on the cable ends or a tag wrapped on the cable that tells us what rating it is. My office's Mavic 3 Pro came with the charger kit and is pretty decent in charging. But what Cafguy said has me wondering if the OEM charging kit is really garbage and I'll get quicker results with a "real" charging kit.

I am happy with the P rated charger kit for the Mini 4 Pro, it is small enough, almost like the iPhone charger to fit in the OEM bag for international travel.

These cables are sometimes marked with the "p" sometimes its marked DC power in. The very best way really is to simply look for a "p" type cable thru amazon or find the cable you are looking at online and check. I usually just "try" cables till one works then I mark that cable. P-type cables are also more heavily constructed,so if you have a pretty "beefy" looking cable chances are its a "P" type.

The charger did not come with a cable. It came in a small box that had no room for a cable. I just did an online search and can't find one. Unless someone here can give me a link, I'm going to return it to Amazon.
