Update on Mexico Drone Laws. Yes take your drone!

I live in Mexico and read that the rule is (1) you have to be a Mexican citizen to fly a drone in Mexico and, (2) it has to be registered. I heard that a "gringo" (non-Mexican citizen) was reported to the police that he was flying his drone which resulted in his drone being confiscated and he...

Like I said before, this was going to happen because of major companies

You had me going there ... until I saw the date of the article.

Has anyone tried to retrieve a drone with your drone?

As it turned out my friend did use the ladder of the house it landed on and retrieved his drone by hand. I was just trying to see if my Mavic Pro would be able to retrieve it instead. It was fun trying even though it crashed my drone (no harm done except to a couple of blades). I think the...

Has anyone tried to retrieve a drone with your drone?

A friend of mine had his little drone land (crash) on the top of a neighbor's roof. I tried to retreve it with my Mavic Pro Platinum. I tied some fishline to the bottom rear support bracket of my drone and ran it forward underneath to in front of the two front arms close to the body and over...

    Alaska Earthquake Damage

Great footage, however, I saw a helicopter and plane in the vicinity. I think you also saw them because you stopped your drone. We really should not be flying around disaster areas as press and police helicopters would most likely be there as well. Thanks for the posting though.

New Drone laws in Mexico--Tourists can't use drones after 12/1/18

I live in Mexico as well and am flying, and will continue to fly, around the Lake Chapala area. I have found that there are laws on the books but most are not enforced. Yes, as with the traffic cops, I'm sure the drone police can be bribed as well. The cops have bigger fish to "fry" with the...

Did the commercial pilot get checked in the airport ?

Welcome to the community, Donny. Yes, commercial Pilots, as well as Flight Attendants, do get checked at the airports. Upon arriving at their destination, depending on what airport, they go through a special line to help speed up their time to the van and hotel. After 9-ll I was in full...

    Airport Security

When I was leaving Mexico, where I live, the checker asked what was in my hard cover case. When I told him it was a drone he asked me to open it. When he saw it he asked me to take it out with the batteries and place it in a tray. I had put the low voltage batteries in zip-locked bags...

    FCC Mode Destroys CE Mode

Pardon me for my ignorance ... but is FCC and CE modes only on the Mavic Air? I have a Mavic Pro Platinum and don't recall seeing where I could switch between the two. BTW, what a beautiful shot of the 3 master ship.

    Which goggles are the best?

Thank you all for your replies. It looks as though I received junk from who I bought the DJI combo package with my Mavic Pro Platinum. I have attached pictures of what I received with the slide where the iPhone is inserted beside the goggles. They're worthless.

    Which goggles are the best?

The DJI goggles that came with the Mavic Pro Platinum bundle to me are worthless, or I just don't know how to use them except to slide my iPhone into them. There are no electrical connections on the goggles and I just can't seem to get them to focus properly. What are the best goggles for the...

    Hello

Thank you, Bunny Too. My mavic is awaiting me in Texas which I hope to pick up the first part of October. I can't wait as I've flown the Mavic Pro owned by my Son in Law and I loved it. I'm REALLY looking forward to getting it. One has to be careful flying it down here in Mexico as the...
