IMO there are no good goggle solutions on the market.
the DJIs are heavy, not well balanced and hot.
I tried a set of Fatsharks running off a CS HDMI output and they're just not worth the most-of-$1500 cost, along with all of the other problems the CS tablets have.
Moverios are a flawed...
iPad Mini gen 4 cellular, but about to upgrade to the latest model.
tried a Crystalsky and I far prefer the implementation of DJI Go 4 in iOS to Android. and that's before the cost, weight and instability of the CS.
so that applies only to helicopters, not fixed wing aircraft, and in any case is from a regulatory organisation on the other side of the world from me.
my point remains. if light aircraft expect us to maintain separation, they should do the same.
I had this discussion with a rather overentitled light aircraft pilot recently. his viewpoint was that full sized aircraft owned the sky no matter what, that there were plenty of reasons a light aircraft might be below 500' AGL even well outside terminal airspace even though it wasn't legal...
not really surprising... the aircraft establishes its location using GPS, which it can do with coarse accuracy well short of attaining a full GPS "OK to fly" lock.
I just fly in my double garage... obviously not a lot of room, but more than enough to practice stable hover.
[edit] I also have access to a large (30x60m) industrial warehouse space with high ceilings, which is very useful. it's directly across the road from the local light aircraft airport...
no problem. it's a shame, but one of the changes to the M2 was the move to 4S batteries, the MP and Air used 3S.
what's irritating is that the CS batteries themselves are only 2S, so there's no need for the CS charging dock to have such a high input voltage requirement.
this has been done to death. it's not a matter of a simple cable. the voltage is incorrect. the required DC to DC converter would cost as much as just buying the required AC power supply, which is no more cost than it would be if it was included with the CS from the factory anyway.
the world is not ruled by America. nor does freedom of speech guarantee an audience, or that an audience won't tell you when you're wrong in response.
fortunately, technology has granted us a nice feature that means we don't have to listen to you in the process. it's here.
that's a matter...
only the Mavic 2 charger is compatible. the Mavic Pro and Air chargers are not.
no, a charger is *not* included. what is included is a battery dock or charging cradle.
and then the people who were forced to buy a power supply that they don't need because they already had one would be...
hmm...
- the baseplate has no forward lip, so it's not stable in the RC arms
- the mounting stem is just screwed the baseplate, with one small screw, leading to flex
- the thumbscrews are small and not easy to adjust
- there's not enough vertical spacing between baseplate and CS mount
- the QD...
