I live within 5km of Gatwick and drive for at least half an hour to get well out of the no fly zone before flying... oh well... looks like even the responsible ones will get screwed by this/these idiot(s). 2 years ago I was grounded for 2 hours on a plane at Gatwick due to a drone incident and I...
Great story... looking forward to the first flight report. There's far more good than bad in society, unfortunately there's far more bad press than good.... thanks for doing your bit to reverse that!
I'm experiencing the same video overexposure on auto settings since the firmware upgrade. Have always used auto as it previously did a good job but looks like I'll need to go manual until / unless this is fixed.
To be fair I can only go by what the pilot and ATC reported. The window on my plane was large enough to see the runway was 'dead' but I couldn't say I saw the drone. The fact that it was apparently seen to go up twice and the relative timings suggests a battery change so I suspect it was a real...
I was sat in an airplane at LGW waiting for the idiot to ground it. Twice he/she went up. Probably wanting a good shot of planes taking off or landing and wondering why there weren't any.... After a 2 hour delay we were airborne. I love my Mavic and hope this kind of behaviour gets punished at...
Glad to be able to help! We were all new at some point and I still feel like a newbie in the drone world. The helpfulness of people on this forum never ceases to amaze me... wish I could give a little more back!
Speaking from experience unfortunately Ceejay. Checked the motors... one was very tight... turned it upside down and the plastic lug fell out. No problem thereafter !
They are almost certainly the tabs off the broken props. If you still have the props check them. There should be 3 tabs on each but they often break during impact. Getting one stuck in the motor can be catastrophic so try to account for them all and also check everything is running smoothly...
Sounds very much like something which happened to me a few months back... IMU heading exception error after only a few yards flying followed by a drone which chose to fly off at high speed despite any stick inputs... and there was almost no wind. 20 seconds later it kicked back in to normal...
I've gone through 50 charge cycles on each battery using hub. last weekend for the first time I used the 12v d.c charger... and afterwards found a bulge and crack on the plastic battery cover... could be coincidence...
Funny CJ ! I can confirm that there aren't any signs anywhere on the stretch I've filmed and that nobody has brought this to my attention (ahem) so I am not aware of it... of what?... don't even know what I'm talking about or why I'm here :)
I've been seen flying by the rangers, chaplaincy and...
