mavic pro cult. lol
if you had the inclination...you'll find there are loads of helpful and objective members here only too willing to give their time and energy into helping people so perhaps some self reflection on your own attitude is in order.
i do empathize with your commentary on where you can and cant fly the mavic. id imagine that would be very frustrating...caveat emptor ?
complicated to use ? really ? i found it incredibly simple and intuitive. on a scale of 1-10 my technical skills would be a 3...4 max. so the only conclusion...
i take off using the take off button, then it gives me some message saying "do you want the mavic to precisely record your home point" click the box and you're done. my RTH has been flawless so far, we're talking within a couple of inches every time.
tekno, i dont know if this will help you or not but im in Oz aswell and i was also having issues with the dji app on my iphone 6. i first had issues updating it and then when it did update, it wouldnt connect to the mavic and then when it finally did connect it was giving me all sorts of error...
yeah, as stated above, you just ran out of juice.
looks like you started at 30% battery charge which is about a 6-7 min flight time best case scenario before its fully discharged.
30-25% took 1m29s
25-20% took 1m17s
20-15% took 1m5s
15-10% took 33s
10-5% took 4s
5-crash took 6s
RTH...
?? Your battery is only full for the first minute even if it's fully charged. Sure, ideally you should try and start with a full battery to maximize flight time and have a better idea how much range you have but it's hardly a bad sign to have a quick flight with a half full battery.
For the op...
ok, thanks, i sort of follow your premise but dont fully understand where you're going with the processing time part or what youre recommendation is. when i play a 4k recorded video on my PC, (without a 4k monitor), isnt that downsampling that to 1080 on the fly ? this isn't taking any load time...
True, but it's still going to be better than if your recorded it at 1080p. I don't know much about video but I know a lot about photography and the same principals will apply I would have thought.
A digital video, same as a digital image, is quite simply a collection of digital data compressed...
thats exactly what i did gary. i found the manual pretty useless and dont recommend it for the dji go app cos its not up to date and ends up becoming even more confusing. it was for me anyway. i used a full battery pack every couple of days to hover around and practice the app settings to know...
just a bit of feedback that i used this yesterday for the first time and it worked flawlessly. i was flying quite low over water and the mavic had a really hard time hovering. it didnt try and auto land or anything, it just wouldnt hold its position well from about 2-4m above the water surface...
