Will using another app other than DJI Go get me around possible false geo fence issues?

We Talk UAV has a great video that really eviscerates the idea that you need DLOG and .265 to make amazing footage with the pro. It's a better camera. Hands down. Even with the basic settings.

Can I fly with a different app and not deal with no fly zones?

Take it easy. I'm new that's why I'm asking the question. The problems with geo fence could be all internet fake news. Or it could be seriously an issue. I don't know.

It's ridiculous. This is why I'm getting an Evo. Dji shows "airports" all around me. Of course they're just abandoned "runways" carved into fields. I'm not chancing it. 1500 is to much to pay for a lawn ornament. The Mavic 2 pro is better drone but it doesn't matter if it stays on the ground...
