A thank you to Vic Moss

Thank you for sharing, and bless you Mr. Moss. These actions from the construction guy sound pretty extreme. Another reminder for the community to stay prepared for the unexpected.

Prop Guards: How Do We Feel About Them?

I fly a lot, simply. I'm in Civil Engineering, City government; I'm called on for disaster response; at the disposal of the Public Information office; backup to the GIS Coordinator, among many other things. I get photos & videos for project construction and inspection, for inspection and...

Prop Guards: How Do We Feel About Them?

It's really a personal thing. I don't fly without guards because of the nature of my work (obstacles everywhere). And the few times the drone came close to/in contact with an obstacle the guards were added safety for me.

Is a DJI Mavic 2 Pro a dodo

Welcome to the forum, it's a wonderful resource. I fly the Mavic Mini, the Mavic 2 Zoom, Mavic 3 Pro, and Air 2S. The 2 Zoom is still a joy to fly and to get great photos/videos for my use.

    Rookie Mistake

Did the same thing with my 3 Pro into low-hanging very visible (but unnoticeable) cable/phone line, and it squirmed its way loose with no damage. When you fly, everything in the air is a possible threat. Glad it all turned out well. And you forever ask "how could I have let that happen?"
