    Reminder: Service your batteries!

I tried the method in the first article. It didn't work for my Mavic Pro battery that wasn't swollen, but it was simple and worthwhile to try. The aftermarket batteries I ordered should arrive today. Is there anyone who rebuilds Mavic Pro batteries? Someone in another thread advised to keep...

    Reminder: Service your batteries!

Good plan. I made the mistake of letting my Mavic Pro sit for over a year without using it or recharging the batteries. Both batteries are toast and one is swelling. I pulled the drone out before the deadline and planned to update the firmware. It couldn't be done without a good battery. DJI...

After December 23rd will online store still be able to sell existing inventory?

This all stems from a law China passed a few years ago that requires all Chinese manufacturers to cooperate with China's intel services. That opened the gates for concerns about hacking and security. As far as I know, there is zero evidence that DJI has engaged in any mischief. I understand that...

After December 23rd will online store still be able to sell existing inventory?

Amazon is still selling aftermarket batteries and props from China for the Mavic Pro. I just bought both. The DJI site is no longer selling Mavic Pro batteries or props.

    Is my battery toast?

It doesn't appear that there are any more DJI branded batteries available. The DJI site now says, "Not Available in Your Country." But I see batteries for other models still sold on the DJI site. Mavic Pro Intelligent Flight Battery - DJI Store Which compatible brands are pilots using? The...

    Is my battery toast?

I think I made the same mistake. I have not flown my Mavic Pro for quite a while. I pulled it out and tried to charge my two batteries. Neither will take a charge. One is very swollen and looks like it's ready to pop. I thought these batteries were supposed to auto discharge to a maintenance...

Holy Stone RID on Mavic Pro: photos wanted

There are new Holy Stone Remote ID modules being sold on eBay for $42.98, shipped from China. I wonder is they are legit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/226057608223

Congress seems to be inching closer to banning DJI Drones

That would be easier to swallow if there was an equivalent USA made option. I'm no big fan of China, but I keep wondering how they got so far ahead of us with drone technology. DJI will not be selling very many drones in the US until the dust settles on this. This should be a golden...

Congress seems to be inching closer to banning DJI Drones

Here is the latest info. The current proposal intends to tax Chinese drones to death, then ban them in 5 years.

Congress seems to be inching closer to banning DJI Drones

Okay, I read through this entire thread, plus located some articles on this topic. I'm still missing something. Is there a particular reason why Congress is targeting DJI or is this just typical political paranoia? Was DJI caught doing something? Or is this the current version of Minority...

HOW TO: Configure & use the Holy Stone RID module

Greg, which drone did you install that on? I just ordered the Holy Stone module for my Mavic Pro v1, but I don't want to block the GPS signal. I'm not sure about the best location for the module. I prefer not installing it on the battery, as some fliers suggest. Users have asked that question...
