OK, not sure if this is related or should I start another thread but I had seen a bit of drifting before this and had put it down to wind or a calibration needed. Today I made sure I was up to date on all the firmware, calibrated compass and IMU and recreated same thing as yesterday...
I flew...
Finally got a response from DJI:
"As to conclusion from analysis team, they gave a conclusion that it's an environment issue. They also ask you to change to different locations to do some more test, as no abnormal evidence founded in DAT files. Please kindly note"
So, fly it a bit more and...
Should we more accurately be saying to bump sharpness when we have long shutter speeds? I'm anticipating replies from people thinking it's the actual ND is the cause.
Might not be the exact same but I had a similar problem. The cause was friction on one of the gimbal axes not allowing the start-up calibration to finish. In fact, the friction caused the gimbal to heat up worsening the friction. Check that the axes all move freely when off and see if it gets...
Presumably because more time is spent capturing each frame of video, that is 1/60th of a second is what most aim for but without an ND filter it could be a quarter of that time.
Loved the Mavic originally but Ive had a number of problems: gimbal, watercolour issue, and last weekend I almost had a flyaway. Sending it in now so may be on my third Mavic soon. If that doesn't work out I'll be returning it and getting a Phantom. That said I would say I was unlucky to have...
Thanks for spending the time analysing this. You're correct just as I reached the high point of the hill the RC vibrated and I let the sticks back to neutral position (all that had happened is that I had reached max flight altitude). Strange that YAWMag would deviate from YAW like that and...
I've been playing around with the csvview and GPS health does indeed drop dramatically and unexpectedly. I'm not an expert at this but that would seem to explain the ATTI mode, any idea what would cause the GPS health to suddenly drop off like that?
Not suggesting he or she did anything wrong, just trying to get a clearer picture of what was going on. It should have landed at the last set home point but it obviously didn't and actually flew away from it. As it was their first flight I presume it was still on default settings.
You can see the direction it was heading from Phantom Log Viewer - PhantomHelp.com The last two points show the battery, distance from home, speed. Wouldn't be the most accurate and presumes it didn't change direction in the meantime but I'd be trying it.
Did you interrupt the RTH and go back into Sports mode? looks like you were in RTH mode from 6m 3s to 7m 12.9s then sports mode again until 7m 50s where RTH was reinitiated.
It wasn't even heading back to home when it was supposed to be so, just heading further away. Not sure what DJI's policy...
Sorry @grizzard I thought you were just trolling, my bad, I've seen a few too many smart-arse unhelpful posts here so I presumed you were doing the same. Full apology and retraction.
@Robbyg Here's the correct DAT (I hope!): DJI_ASSISTANT_EXPORT_FILE_2017-03-05_12-56-15.DAT
@BudWalker I've seen...
