Do you hand catch your drone?

I've never tried it. But I'm a clumsy person, so it is me, not my drone, that is an accident waiting to happen. I keep a landing pad in my vehicle at all times, and rarely encounter any challenges in finding a place to launch or land. I must be in the minority.

Mavic Air 2S ESC 30038 error code

Me, too. But when I put swapped them, I got a message saying a component was incompatible and I needed to update my Air 2S firmware. It didn't indicate what was involved.

Mavic Air 2S ESC 30038 error code

When I try to take off, motors on the port side spin, but those on the starboard side don't. Using RC Pro controller. The only thing I've done differently is use batteries from my Air 2 in the Air 2S. I've since refreshed firmwares. Still get the Motor Failure message. It did this once a...

    RC Pro won't accept cards

Update. I returned my controller to DJI and they replaced it at no cost to me, including shipping. I used their label and sent on Friday and received it back the following Thursday. The new one behaves exactly like my old one. I need a tiny screwdriver to press the card all the way in. Good...

    RC Pro won't accept cards

Update: DJI support offered to replace my controller, but rather than be without the controller I just may keep it and have a tiny screwdriver handy when I need to remove the card.

    RC Pro won't accept cards

Now that's good to know. It means my controller is not defective, but just has a finicky design. Thanks.

    RC Pro won't accept cards

I've been pushing it in as far as it goes; it meets resistance and will go no further. However, thinking about your suggestion, I got a tiny jewelers screwdriver and if I push hard it will go in even further and seat. I need the screwdriver to remove the card, too. I have many devices that...

    RC Pro won't accept cards

Just activated my RC Pro, downloaded firmware upgrades and it links to my Air 2S fine. I can't get the microSD card to seat. It pops right back out. When I hold it in, a dialog pops up recognizing it, but as soon as I release it pops out. I've tried eight different Samsung, SanDisk, etc...

Telling Air 2/Air 2S standard controllers apart

Thanks. I have the Air 2 and Air 2S and both controllers, plus the RC Pro, which I haven't used yet.

Telling Air 2/Air 2S standard controllers apart

With the Air 2 and Air 2S standard controllers, is there an easy way to tell them apart visually? The only difference seems to be on the labels on the back, but I'm not sure which is which.

    Multiple Controllers with Air 2S

Getting complicated. If the other photographer is a good friend I trust with my login, am I required to physically be there while he uses it?

    Multiple Controllers with Air 2S

Ah, good to know. Fortunately, I won't be alternating very often once I learn how to use the RC Pro. It has a lot of options.

    Multiple Controllers with Air 2S

I have just got the RC Pro controller. I have been using the stock controller with my Air 2S. I understand the controller needs to be "bound" to the aircraft for the Care Refesh coverage to apply. Once I've activated and bound the RC Pro, can I use it and the old controller interchangeably...

How many crashed has your drone experienced?

Managed to crash into 40-foot trees twice, Mavic Air 2 tumbled through the branches and fell to the ground. Apparently the leaves broke the fall, as a nick in one propeller was the only damage.

Air 2s Practical Use for My Drone

I ended up getting my roof replaced because of my Mavic Air 2S. I always do my first test flights in my back yard, and it was shots of my roof that made me realize how bad my roof was (there were apparently no leaks.) We really lucked out, as it was the original roof from 1979, six years...
