Is it better to have aftermarket landing gear?

I just do a hand-launch/landing, its much quicker and saves money on landing pads/legs and means you can takeoff/land anywhere

Mavic Air auto-landed in foggy weather (with some droplets on it)

Sometimes in foggy conditions ice can form on the rotor blades, causing a loss in lift. It happened to me whilst flying an Aeryon Skyranger in freezing fog conditions. (air temp was -5c whilst the handbook stated it should be able to handle -30c)

Why was I allowed to take off w/gimbal cover on?

keep an eye on your phone/tablet screen on power up/ takeoff, it will give notifications of anything wrong, in this case it should say "gimble overloaded"

Turn props off in mid-air for fast descent (and on again :-)

(I'm not sure if its possible with a mavic 2 as i tried at low level and nothing happened) I could imagine that if the motors restarted, even if it was in an upright position it could easily induce vortex ring state as it would be descending too fast to begin with, and so would crash anyway, the...

I tried to use the app today to check for updates, however it wouldn't connect to the aircraft. DJI Go 4 always...

So I'm a new pilot, the RAF sent me and a few others on an NQE before xmas as they needed some test pilots for a new drone system. After completing the course I decided I wanted more out of the qualification so I brought my own Mavic 2 and started working towards my PFCO. I finally submitted my...

    Found; Mavic 2's Achilles Heel.

I've only crashed my mavic 2 zoom once (first time flying it). I was flying it forward at low level and it clipped the grass and flipped over. (I guess the sensors cant detect the ground whilst at forward tilt) There was no damage, just covered in mud, I guess I was lucky?
