According to Google maps it is .5 miles from the closest point on land which is Bird Point. It has been successfully done before but conditions can change incredibly fast. Hope this helps Cheers!

I knew that. What I was getting at is the statement that there is a restriction from Coos Bay south jetty down to Brandon. I can't find any restriction other than a few state parks. I drone that stretch often as there is no known restrictions. Cheers!

I hand launch and land all my drones unless windy. If you are in RTH mode using stick down, the drone will power itself down, no need to flip the drone. There is a possibility of pilot injury, but with practice and patience, I am very comfortable hand landing a drone. Cheers!

I get this quite often, definitely not an SD card issue since the recorded video is fine. Phone platform does not seem to matter whether it's Apple or Android. I suspect the video feed to the phone lags and the codec is filling in missing data. Seems to happen more on busy scenes, rarely on...
