    Flying at high altitudes

Top of Mt. Massive in Colorado last January, elevation 14,421. 3rd highest peak in the lower 48. Something like -20° Fahrenheit. I’ve flown most of Colorado’s 14k peaks with M2P and P4P, very few issues, even in strong wind.

    Uncompahgre Peak in Colorado

Climbed Uncompahgre Peak in Colorado this weekend. Of all the peaks I've done in Colorado, its likely my favorite. Elevation 14,309. So unique and beautiful.

    Lake City, Colorado avalanche aftermath

Colorado high country had much higher snowfall and avalanche activity than normal this year. Lake City was among the hardest hit. This road has been inaccessible for over a month, was reopened recently. Short video of some of the aftermath with M2P:

    DJI smart controller; my opinion

I spent a few months working in Yakima in 2017, some neat places to see up there.

    DJI smart controller; my opinion

I bought it for one single reason. When you’re on top of a 14,000 ft Colorado mountain in January at -20°, your mobile phone lasts about 5 minutes before the cold shuts it down. Smart Controller can handle the cold.

    Mt. Princeton in Colorado

    Quick edit, nothing fancy.

    Mt. Princeton in Colorado

There are only 5 of the 58 that don’t meet the qualifying rule, but I figure I might as well climb them too;)

    Mt. Princeton in Colorado

I live at 5000 ft altitude, so am somewhat adjusted to the thin air. I climb 14k foot peaks pretty regularly (we call them fourteeners), there are a total of 58 fourteeners in Colorado, last year I climbed 42, including a handful of repeats. This one was 15 miles, just over 5,000 feet of...

    Backpack for hiking

I’ve been using the Polar Pro backpack, on summer hikes I take P4P, on my winter hikes I take M2P so I have more room for cold weather gear. It’s held up very well, and has separate compartment on outside that I can keep gloves, hats, crampons without having to open other side with drone and...
