I have crashed 3 drones so far in my 5 years. It feels horrible but each time I learn what I shouldn't have done. I think the dji refresh plan helps ease the sting of a crash. It is an expensive craft but so is a root canal and that is not as fun.

I have the dji rc and really enjoy its function. Just remember at this time you can not put 3rd party apps such as Litchi on the android device. I believe the RC Pro does allow this though. I think eventually 3rd apps will be allowed on the rc.
I don't think it is worth the time to discuss. Mission, flight, buzz around, fly my drone, I am more concerned about my skill of operation of the task at hand rather than the name of what I am doing.
I have flown my dji phantom 4 pro indoors in a setting typical to what you are mentioning. I was surprised at how well it behaved and was pleased with the video results. All flight inside was very slow and not a lot of maneuvering.
