I am almost always using manual mode. I get a good exposure after I pop up the drone to my liking and then fly. I think you are asking for trouble if you use auto color balance though when you get into post production.

The PL and ND and ND PL are each different animals. The PL filter is for polarizing effects that are most accurate when the conditions are right. Sun angle, drone position and whether it is cloudy or sunny. The ND PL would be used for video mainly when you want control fps/shutter speed AND...

I still exclusively use my 2-Air 2S drones with the RC Pro. As long as I don't look at what the latest gadgets out there are, I am perfectly happy with the results from my 2S. It's been a workhorse for me. Not even one complaint from my clients.

If it is lens protection you want, then I would use a ND4 filter over the lens. My air 2S has an open frame bezel to make the gimbal/lens look finished. It does nothing as far as protection or has any optical effect. I use a polarizer only when I want the effect and the conditions are right...

The air 2s is my favorite drone. Always gets the job done. I have 2. I never look at new equipment until I feel I can't get the job done with the gear I have.

I think it is a luck of the draw when doing time exposures. I usually take several or more shots hoping to get one decent one out the series...after all it is kind of floating in air.

I have crashed 3 drones so far in my 5 years. It feels horrible but each time I learn what I shouldn't have done. I think the dji refresh plan helps ease the sting of a crash. It is an expensive craft but so is a root canal and that is not as fun.

As far as size, cost, and quality my vote goes to the Air 2s also. I fly a phantom 4 pro and the air 2s. I love both of them.

I have the dji rc and really enjoy its function. Just remember at this time you can not put 3rd party apps such as Litchi on the android device. I believe the RC Pro does allow this though. I think eventually 3rd apps will be allowed on the rc.

I don't think it is worth the time to discuss. Mission, flight, buzz around, fly my drone, I am more concerned about my skill of operation of the task at hand rather than the name of what I am doing.
