DJI Mavic 3 ($1050) Free USA Shipping (SOLD)

Barely flown. Near mint. No crashed or hard landings. It has been flown 13.4km and been in the air for 1.35 hours. It was a backup. You can get a great DJI Mavic 3 Pro with the 4/3 sensor and the 7x zoom for less than a Classic or a Mini 4 Pro which I just bought. It comes with 4 ND 4/8/16/32)...

What's up fellow pilots. Coming to you from Compton, Cali

I have been to Compton. Nice little city. I have pictures somewhere. While taking pics, I had a guy tell me in front of the sign that my friends in Utah still wouldn't believe me.

Flying the Mavic inside an empty LPG Gas Tank - is it possible?

I've flown inside small spaces like ice arenas and homes. How large is it? I would do it with me inside if it's clean of fumes like you indicated.

Are you going to move from a Mavic 2 Pro to a Mavic Air 2? And why?

I have the D850, but it is for the dynamic range and ISO performance at night. I didn't care for the D800 for the reasons that you just stated. But, the 850 works for me... with really good glass.

Are you going to move from a Mavic 2 Pro to a Mavic Air 2? And why?

It's not close to being superior in every way. Read my post.

Are you going to move from a Mavic 2 Pro to a Mavic Air 2? And why?

As a photographer, absolutely not. Megapixels are good but overrated. Some of my best images came from a 12MP Nikon D700. Massive pixels. It was a light sponge. Boise was amazing. The larger sensor size is really a big deal. Dynamic range and flexibility are in to a photographer. Being stuck at...

    Fingers or Thumbs

I do all my photography and in-camera adjustments manually. So, I use thumbs only. I have never had an issue and I think the comfort and control comes from decades of video games. Photographing rock art high on cliff faces means extremely precise flying. I don't even use tripod mode anymore...

Ok, so who gives their drones names?

My Mavic 2 is named Emma after Emma Watson and my Phantom 4 Pro V2 is named Thunderbird 1.

Death of a Mavic 2 Pro

Tripod Mode was surely the culprit with those darn drafts in stopping the recovery.

Death of a Mavic 2 Pro

A helicopter pilot once told me about the vortex ring state. It is interesting. I also encountered issues near a waterfall. More power is not the answer. Moving in any direction seems to be the solution. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vortex_ring_state

Bird approaching drone in an aggressive way

Last winter, near Ferron, Utah, I was involved with a serious drone inspection. This bird-of-prey checked me out to see what was up. Luckily, I was able to race back to my car.
