How do you get the micro sd card out

I'm so grateful for this thread - I thought it was just me! :) I don't believe it's an exaggeration to say that removing and inserting the micro SD card is the most difficult thing in using a Mavic Mini. I've managed to launch the card over to the other side of the room when ejecting it, and...

    Problem the numbers of satellites

The problem with the AC acquiring a GPS lock after you are airborne is that the home point will be updated some way from the take off point (which is why the voice says "Please check it on the map"). This can become a big problem if/when RTH is activated and the spurious home point is over water...

    Safe distance above water

Quite unintentionally I managed to put PhiliusFoggg's plan into practice (sort of!) yesterday. After my unfortunate experience referred to by BokiFly at #5, thankfully I was able to react straight away to the "Landing" warning, so no ill-effects. Still, worth being aware of, so I've knocked the...

Mavic Mini Crash Landing and a lesson learned

I suffered a crash landing today with my Mavic Mini. At first I thought I had suffered the dreaded uncommanded descent. However, on reviewing the the flight data on AirdataUAV and watching the video footage, an altogether different cause emerged. I can now see how it happened but had never...

    My 1st flight today

Of course it's always going to be a personal preference thing, but having tried both flat palm and finger & thumb catching, I think the flat palm is the better for me. That way the sensors detect it has landed and cut the motor, whereas with the finger & thumb I have to invert the AC to get it...

    Manual channel selection.

I made the jump to manual settings a few weeks ago and haven't looked back. My advice would be to always go through the process before each flight. As you do the RC scans each chanel and the strength graph changes accordingly. I find that you need to let it cycle through at least two or three...

Unfortunate new operator, in high wind, no understanding of how to recover...

Thank you for a clear explanation of a scenario which I think is often not fully understood and rarely mentioned. The new descend option following loss of signal -- when carefully applied like you have shown -- can be a real Get Out Of Jail card when things have gone badly wrong.

Newbie question. What could be the problem?

Hi, Really impressive video. I am in awe of your piloting (ignoring the finale!) and you're far braver than me in getting so close to the foliage. A beautiful location and I imagine in normal circumstances you'd be lucky to have it more-or-less to yourself? As for your specific question, I...

    Just saying Hi...

I am the very happy owner of a Mavic Mini, based in the UK, just south of Derby. I've had the Mini since January and although restricted initially by the poor weather (I have never been so aware of the wind speed each day!), I am getting more and more flights in and enjoying each one immensely...
