If your car’s tyre had a gash in it, would you feel safe to still drive your car? The same principle applies to your drone. If in doubt you should change it and not risk losing your drone due to a damaged propeller.
I recall reading a post here that there was a bad batch of M2P batteries from around 2yrs ago. Can’t remember the exact period but I think that thread is still somewhere here on the forum. There was also rumour that DJI acknowledged that bad batch and replaced them for free.
The fact that nothing appears out of order leads me to suspect that an external factor might be at work. Possibly a bird attack that has caused your drones to lose control and crash? Any birds nesting in the area where your drones were lost or birds of prey activity?
why do people use rice? I know it’s more readily available but silica gel is superior to rice and doesn’t have any of the dust/powder that rice has. I would also recommend putting a small box over the drone + a mini dehumidifier inside to draw out any remaining drops of water. I would also...
I’m over on the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean where flights are restricted so a friend helped my out by buying the 3 that I need from a local retailer - who confirmed that their most recent stock is from June 2019. As luck would have it one of the 3 batteries was dead out of the box -...
My concern is if something happens to the battery during a flight that could lead to a loss of the drone. The batteries would be covered but definitely not the drone.
Hi guys, what’s your understanding of Mavic 2 batteries that are new but a year old? Any cause for concern? They’re brand new and have never been charged.
A friend bought them for me as a favour and was told by the retailer that it’s the most recent stock they have - I’m currently in Mauritius.
Yes, it was quite windy with strong gusts of wind blowing up the side of a mountain, enough to make the propellers spin pretty fast. All I did was adjust the way I was holding my MP2 and the propellers stopped spinning. It’s all to do with the angle at which the wind hits the propellers and is...
I’ve done countless compass calibrations and have never ever had the props spin without warning. The only times they have spun was on a very windy mountain and when I was holding it at an angle. Apart from that they never spin during the compass calibration so something’s not right with the OP’s...
Is it just me or was it reckless to be flying in an urban environment where an accident could cause the drone to fall from a great height and possibly kill someone down below?
