There's only "ONE" chance that the FAA's proposed Remote ID regulation won't get pushed through in its current form. Since we as pilots have no ability to vote them in or out of office the FAA can pretty much do as they want. We ALSO need to post our concerns to our congressmen. Whatever...

Been in the hobby over 10 years and $50 is way too expensive. Add to that, the fact that at max brightness the strobe draws so much power the "non-replacable" battery can only power it for 30 min max. Even with the thermal shut down feature advertised, 4 COB led's get VERY hot in 30 minutes time.

David and Goliath stories usually play out one way but when the unexpected happens you gotta cheer at the little guys chutzpah... Too bad Autel is not a publicly traded company... would love to have bought some of their stock.... contrarian investing has been good to me.

Your opinion is kind of reminiscent of what US car manufacturers thought about that little known car maker called Honda in the late 60's...:) DJI has so antagonized many of its followers that they may sown the seeds of their own downfall.... if Autel remains true to their word, just the fact...

What you've discovered just confirms what many DJI owners have suspected for quite a while..... its that very reason that MANY DJI owners avoid sending their Mavics, Phantoms, etc. etc back to DJI for repairs. Unfortunately when you buy a used car, the only thing you can be sure of is that...

Hmm... How much will imposed flight restrictions come into play in making your next MR purchase? Do you fly your DJI products connected or disconnected from the internet?

Thanks a lot for the reply... I agree that this section of the Autel EVO manual eliminates my concern about imposed flight restrictions in the USA where I'll be flying. Can you provide a download link for the entire EVO manual? ... can't find it on the Autel website. If not thanks any way...

REALLY ... Multiple times ??????? Can you link to a single piece of Autel documentation where they state this? Accurately and continuously updating changing FAA NFZ's has proven to be a nightmare for DJI and would also be for Autel if they followed suit.

Any one see any Autel comments regarding whether or not the EVO will have built in flight restrictions (i.e. No Fly Zones, Max Height, etc. etc.) like the DJI quads?????? Watching guys in the DJI forums plagued by imposed flight restrictions and the DJI attitude of "we know better than you"...

Very true but for RTH to then work you best hope you still have a connection to GPS satellites. Without GPS, RTH will not work...

Nice explanation .... for RTH to work... the bird FC needs to know end points (i.e. where it is and where it has to go)... loss of GPS means it doesn't know where it is (i.e. it loses an end point), so RTH can not help get the bird back home. , Assuming you still have C&C "AND" a video...
