That was what I did, I said "sorry I have to keep an eye on my drone". I didn't even really notice his question. Sometimes I wind up leaving the area as I try to find another place that's less crowded. There wasn't anyone around when I started flying.

I wonder if it's ok to fly over the Dallas Arboretum. Would be nice to get some video of all the flowers, which reminds me, anyone know of a good spot with a lot of bluebonnets? I see a few highway medians with nice patches, but would like to get a nice safe field in which to film.

Saw there were some notices about drone flying on Lake Whitney's website, so figured I'd stay closer to home. Managed to hit Lincoln Park in south Dallas and then Lewisville Lake. It was too brutally hot for me to get in enough flying time. I guess I'll wait for it to cool down a little.

Oh, and I did forget to mention, I had just taken off in a parking lot, and my drone was high enough to avoid any possible oncoming cars, but was still at a height where a vehicle larger than an average car might've struck it. I told him that I couldn't speak as I had to keep my attention on...

Had a guy approach me while I was flying, and I had to tell him that I couldn't speak with him while I was flying. I came close to telling him that it was illegal to distract someone that was operating a drone, but I didn't want to come across as "Karen-ish". How does everyone handle these...

I may have to try Lake Whitney this weekend. Seems like everything has come to a standstill in here. Not sure if it's cause of Covid or just the normal traffic in here.

I'm going to dip a toe in really slow. I'm getting over the fact that I'm flying a $1000 device around. The nerve racking is reading all the horror stories of drones gone astray. I'm hoping to eventually find a way to have the drone follow me as I drive around. Thanks for all the kudos!

I saw a video where the creator suggested dropping the sun just out of camera view and letting the exposure adjust to the landscape. I used that strategy and it made the ground that much clearer. A filter might help, but it still might darken the landscape. IMO, you really don't want the sun...
