Lots of problem coming from : people buying new models straight away, without waiting for good firmware People who don't know how to fly and loose them on far away trees Sometimes it happens that new firmware had issues (I had one myself, reported here) Honestly I would say most of the cases...

@ac30 my Mavic Air did the same last year. I was on one of the mountains around Vancouver. I started it, GPS strong, every calibration ok, no metal around (maybe some cougars but I didn't see any :) ) . Just taking off it went up a bit, then straight to its own left side , fast like a bullet...

Mavic pro is indeed a kind of flying tank ! Robust!! I have a pro and an Air. I would not bother repairing the pro. I would wait, if I were you, for the new mavic coming out soon. The mavic pro loves trees.my own is called branchescutter ... It seems its avoiding obstacle'sensors enjoy trees...

I have solved the same issue (iPad mini 2) connecting the wifi of the iPad to the tethering of the phone. After you share the connection of your smartphone (in my case a pixel 2, but any smartphone can tether, or share its connection) with the iPad, restart the software (DJI 4) and you will see...
