Low light flying with the Mavic pro

I guess my teal question was not about the camera but about the drone. I know we need light to see where we are going and the sensors need ligjt for obstical but does the avoidence but does the Mavic need light to actually fly??

Low light flying with the Mavic pro

So, what kind of issues will i need to be prepared for if i try to take off in quite dim conditions and film a sunrise. I dont really plan in doing much more that taking off, ascending, hovering, filming and then descending??

    Mavic vs. winter weather

I have flown mine here in Wisconsin at 0 with no wind and sunny. I agree with others that the biggest problem is cold fingers. I keep tbe equipment warm, limit my flying to a battety strength of 50% and i have no mechanical issues.

    Flying indoors wirh no gps

So i took my Mavic to this local indoor sports center where they let people fly planes on certain days. It had a metal roof with big steel beems and i couldn't get gps. It connected and took off fine but it wandered. When i stopped motion with the sticks, it kept moving so i had to continually...

So, i have run a few waypoint missions, no problem. I set the points by touching the screen to record them and as i do, it it records the number set as i go. However, when i try to use the c1 button, it doesn't seem to count them and i am unsure they are even being recorded?? I donr want to...

    Waypoint take off point.

For me, altitude is not an issue I'd be the same more or less from either take off spot

    Waypoint take off point.

Ya, i didnt think of that but I could make it work by picking the right spot for my first waypoint. I would like to go to the small local lake here, set up a waypoint from the lake parking lot but in the future, run tbe missions from my house which is about 1/2 mile from the parking lot as a...

    Waypoint take off point.

So, once i set up, run snd save a waypoint mission in Dji go, does it matter where future take of points are, you know, as long as they are within easy range of the mission and are still line if sight??

Safe (maximum) working distance for mavic

Well, just in from two successful waypoints around the pond. I guess its smaller than I thought. I was QUITE nervous as it went just out if sight and sound but at about 600 ft away only at the furthest point and 6500 ft all the way around, the signal never budged from full......lol

Safe (maximum) working distance for mavic

So, ive seem posts for maximum distances and heights, but what might be considered a safe sort of maximum "working " distance as far as signal strength is concerned ?? Under average conditions, from what i have seen, must be about 3/4 to one mile?? I know ill watch the signal strength but as i...
