I've tried that on the ground. Turned props on, held it high with my hand and let go. It started hovering on its own without touching any controls. That was close to the ground though, I believe here that the ultrasonic height sensor is what makes it work. In your case, you may be too far off...
It used to happen to me at every second flight. I sent my mpp in for repair, and they replaced the main board. I have yet to test it to see if it still happens.
I wonder how the DJI goggles would do in that weather. They do have a cooling fan inside, so I would assume that they run hot. Then again, with the goggles on you may not notice a polar bear coming at you!
I see. Personally, I am not worried about the warnings. I have once looked at the logs for any anomaly in the Amperes for all motors for a flight that showed those warnings and everything looked normal.
Plus, I am also tired of sending my drones back for warranty repair and having to wait for a...
I get this error all the time when flying in sports mode. I was going to send mine for warranty repair, but from what I read on the forums, it seemed quite common in cold temperatures. I have a platinum as well.
I get the errors mostly at full throttle and full forward simultaneously. 9 hours...
I've flown in such temperatures, but made sure the drone and the batteries were warm (20C) before flying. Also checked the temp every 2 mins by clicking the battery icon.
Nice video! I love that part of the world!
The coordinates (with elevation and camera angle) is saved in the .jpg file metadata. You could take pictures from any drone app and upload them to DD and it should work. In my experience, DD didn't work well for me as the pictures were all out of focus.
I have a MPP and I'm getting battery overcurrent warnings when in Sport mode and full throttle/full forward. From what I've seen, it appears to be normal, especially in the cold.
What I take from this is that the air is more dense, thus the drone is able to push more power (fly faster) at the...
