This is something Litchi app has offered since its inception on the phantom 2, ive asked DJI loads of times on the forums for the auto record feature but it never got implemented, yet as you say the Neo and Avata has the function.

You can see the wifi network and join it via the wifi on your laptop, then you can try to telnet into it, this was how powermagic worked for the phantom 3 standard and how us old folks used to investigate issues with the older phantom 2 vision units

Once you login the controller is bound to the quad, if the quad flys away and is found it can only be used with a new controller 5 times before you have to login and change it which requires the original login details as for being bound, anyone with sense would bind the drone to the account but...

Its a security aspect, if the drone is stolen then it stops the thief from using the drone once the login expires, which in itself is a good idea, And if they get stolen then they can be sold on.

Nope just the original controller Yes a lot of people have had issues with the go4 app and the newer iphones and ipads, mainly i guess because the app was written for a much earlier IOS version, that said i cant get the latest version to work on my ipad mini 4 it just opens and the closes...

As this is app driven, maybe uninstall the app and reinstall it

what is it you are needing to do? all the updates are done via a USB stick inserted into the controller or an SD card inserted into the camera slot from memory

If DH say its due to a google update then chances are they are right, maybe try resetting your phone fully to see if that fixes the issue

Yes and you use the DJI assistant software to do firmware upgrades, other than that windows wont see it as any kind of useable device

In essence all new versions of Litchi wont be available on IOS only android
