Thank you. I possibly was not clear. While turning it upside down (or 90 degrees, as you point out) is not my preferred you of switching off the motors, I did it several times before without any problem. This particular time I discovered that if the drone it is in “detour mode” this strategy...
A few days ago I was flying my Air 2S in a area with a rough surface and I tried to do what I always do in these cases: when landing, I stop it at about 1.5m of the ground, I catch it with my hand and pull down the left stick to make a "forced landing" in my hand and switch off the motors.
The...
Thanks for the suggestion. I added them at the end of my post anyway, just in case someone wants to make some more detailed analysis. Of course, I have only Dji fly logs prior to lose connection.
Yes, you are right, I use sometime the atitude indicator to estimate the wind speed. But in this situation it would only provide the confirmation of what I already knew from the drone reaction. All the errors were committed before :-(
Last weekend I had a scaring experience when flying from a hilltop near the coast. The take-off spot was at 350m of altitude, with a quite steep hill down to the sea level. I had flown a few times in the same location with the wind facing the hill and I never had any major problem.
In this...
Thank you for the report. I am now fully convinced that the reason is the one pointed by adcimagery. It was probably the overheating of the display that happened in a particular bright and warm day. It happened three times in this particular day, but always at peak sun hours and I did not had a...
Thanks for the tip. Maybe that it is the reason. I had never experienced before such behaviour, so I was surprised. But it is true that I never had the screen on so much time outdoors before using the DJI Fly -- I bought my first bird past WInter. In fact, in more recent flights I did not...
I had a couple of times ADS-B warnings due to commercial jets when operating in authorized zones parallel to a main landing strip. However, up to now, there was a single warning, reporting the distance and altitude, but they were far enough for not being a problem. Today I got the first...
Thanks. I read somewhere that, when comes to DJI, Apple users were the lucky ones :-). And I was indeed happy until this week. But possibly I got it wrong :-). Anyway, I will keep your suggestion in mind. The shade helps, but does not solve the dimming issue.
I recently upgraded my IPhone 12 to IOS to version 15.4.1. I started having a irritating behavior: after 5 minutes of flight or so, the display dimms considerably, what is a nuisance in bright days - the display becomes almost unusable. I checked the IOS dimmer and it is still at maximum...
