Hi all I am new here and I think that this question has been asked before so here's the question I'm using a android phone as the monitor for my mavic air and I find it is a bit small and I have been offered three tablets one is a acer iconia B1-770 16gb and the other one is a Samsung galaxy tab...

My mavic air is set to fcc mode and I use a iPhone 7 with it but I have a galaxy s6 edge as well I can get 15,900 ft = 3 miles away and back on 1 battery and I have not tried using the range extenders I have yet

Captjim no u can put all mavic in to fcc mode and back to ce mode all u need is a android phone and fake GPS

I am in west cork and I was getting up to 6,772 ft away at a hight of 330ft when I get a dry day I will test out the fcc mode and I have the range extender as well

If u do the fcc mode using a android phone and then change over to iOS but after changing to fcc mode do not click ok when u are using your iPhone

I get up to 3 miles away on xxx mode and I just got the range extenders so I will let u know what range I get

ya I have all the updates done for the drone controller and batteries and I did a range test yesterday I got 1919 feet when I lost signal and I got it back again with out moving the drone

thanks all in it took an hour for the updates on the drone and controller iam using my s6 edge for the screen i am think of changing to a tablet and getting range extenders but not sure on what range extenders to get

if u are using range extenders what one are the best the ones that slide on over the antennas on the control or the ones that replaces the antennas
