3 Milky Way Time Lapse Video 17 seconds

Nice video, Dale. Thanks for sharing it. I've been doing the same thing here in Southern California for a couple of years now. One thing though. What everyone thinks are meteors are most likely airplanes. I get a lot of that in my shots too. Sometimes it's a meteor, but usually it's annoying an...

Why did my Air 2 S decide not to come home to Papa?

I live near this airport. Here's a little known fact. According to the chart supplement, the airport is Class D from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Other times it's Class G. That's shown in the Airspace note as Zulu time of 1500-500Z. So it's legal to fly that area from 9 at night to 7 in the morning. Of...

    Stupid question about Airspace

Here's what I like about Skyvector. I can decipher airspace class. Then if it's controlled, I go to LAANC for more detail. If it's not controlled, I don't need LAANC. I can also see what hazards and special use items are in the area. The information may be more useful to manned aviators, but...

    Stupid question about Airspace

For up-to-date airspace info, I go to skyvector.com. It has aeronautical charts for anywhere in the country. It's also a good site to just spend time studying all the little details on the chart and know what they mean. If you ever take your Part 107 test, you'll need to know how to read these...

    Harassed while flying drones

Where exactly were you flying in San Diego? I also live in San Diego County and haven't had too many problems. I do know that you can't take off and land in County Parks and this doesn't show up on any maps. A group of droners flew at Sunset Cliffs last weekend. We had authorization and had to...

    Battery Life and Death

That's what I worry about, the battery swelling and popping out. I check these batts. when they're done and they haven't swollen past the hard plastic. When they get close to doing that, they're gone.

Thanks for the advice. I will be watching them closely

    Battery Life and Death

Not sure what another app will tell you that the DJI Go app doesn't show. It already shows how many times the battery has been charged, the rate of all three cells, temperature of the battery and other things. Also, I label my batteries so that I don't keep using the same one.

    Battery Life and Death

Thunderdrone, now you've got me wondering if my batteries are really going bad. Maybe the slight swelling I noticed is normal and I just didn't notice it before. I live in Southern California and don't fly in extreme temperatures. When my battery hits 30%, I return to home and never get under...

    Battery Life and Death

I want to discuss the life of the batteries for my Mavic Pro 1. I have 3 batteries and they are all approaching 90 charges. I think I've gotten my money's worth out of these batteries. Lately, I've noticed the label part of the battery has a slight bulge after a flight. Since the DJI manual says...

That awesome video made me forget all about your RTH problems. This is why we drone.

    How many use Litchi ?

Does Litchi restrict your flight with geofences, like DJI does? In some areas, DJI won't even let me start my drone.

    Dolly zoom?

My opinion is that they won't. It'll just be another reason to move up to the II. Plus, I wonder if the Pro would even be able to do a dolly. Maybe there's something in the mechanics or the firmware that's not available in the Pro

    Is there emergency stop procedures

Chris Rollins has a YouTube video of shutting down and restarting his MP in the air. Here's a link for it.

PSA: Good deal on a multi-battery charger

Strange thing on the Amazon link. There are only 2 reviews and they aren't for a charger. Do you want a cheap charger for your expensive DJI batteries? The charger that I bought has worked very well for the past 4 months and I fly almost every day. Here's a link...
