Interesting that the statute prevents any filming of public & private schools. I have no interest in doing so but could easily see myself inadvertently capturing one nearby to a community I'm filming.

My guess is they are more worried about the Chinese having access to the drone than they are about domestic terrorisms. Clearly misplaced in this case.

Just out of curiosity, where do you live? I have thought about getting that sort of shot but there is a huge no fly zone when launches are scheduled. Penalties are huge too. So I never thought I could get close enough to get something as nice as this. Roughly how far away are you?

You only need it to initialize the module. Surely you know someone with a modern phone who can d/l the app and set it up for you. 5-10 min, tops

Guess it didn't make it in the US, I just had to unlock zones near an airport that the FAA has a 500ft AGL resrtiction on but are otherwise class G airspace. Same DJI invented areas we see along the approach and departure paths of many smaller airports.
