I bought mine used on Craig's list. Got a great deal and I'm very happy with my purchase. Only problem I ever had was after I first got it and flew it into a bush which damaged the gimbel. $250. I had failed to put the antennas up......operator error. That won't ever happen again. :(

My wife and I like to fish up there. I haven't been there since I bought my Mavic but it looks like I'll have to make the drive.....its only 20 minutes away....... We always seem to stop at 20 mile bend.

I'm just west of West Palm Beach, Fl and have a $60/yr Personal Article policy from SF, no deductible and it covers ANY loss of the drone. I also have car insurance with SF but this is a separate policy. Otherwise I would have to meet a deductible.

My wife thinks I should stop reading this forum because she thinks its making me too paranoid to fly. No.....I'm just cautious....17mph wind makes me a little worried as do high-powered, interstate power lines and flying over water. But, I still have my Mavic...... :)Thumbswayup

I go there quite a bit. I took my Mavic all the way down to Key West but found it way too crowded and far too much air traffic. :( I'll have to take it the next time we go down. We usually go about as far as Tavernier, stay overnight and then back home. Its nice to live that close.

After seeing it recommended on this forum I'm asking Santa for a Fire 8 HD (refurbished) with an Fstop mount . Looked pretty impressive when I researched it and the price is pretty good too. cliff

I tried to get a lake at sunset shot but it didn't work out well.....still learning. Over the south end of Lake Wellington on a Saturday night. My first time over water. That's my wife driving our boat.
