    Precision landing

I usually land manually, but I test PL and RTH regularly. Air2s is about 90%+ on pad. The rest are just off the pad. Rarely it requires manual intervention if the sun has set, or a tree shadow has moved (the Air2s batteries last a good long time). Don't stand near the pad or have your shadow...

    New guy with questions

I have the Air2 and the smart controller and the old white dji goggles and am quite happy with them. I am not fond of the DJI altitude restriction as it is based on launch point, not point under the drone, so it can limit flights on steep terrain. Getting automated approval for most areas has...

do you have any favourite types of practicing you do for flying?

I got a bunch of those little marker flags from H/W store. I use these as camera targets for circles or bounds for figure-8s. I set out several flags, and see how fast I can be hovering just above the next flag. I also fly vertical figure-8s. Fly squares in front of you, rotating 90 deg at each...

    Air 2 Goggle Support

I tried this and it is not horrible, but is far from optimal. It is worth a try if you already have a high res cell phone as the holder headsets can be found for $20 or you can make one out of cardboard. I did this for a while before I got the goggles. I did not find that better than using a...

    Air 2 Goggle Support

Cool...please post your results when the firmware is released as I wondered about this as well. I presume you will get both the included new MA2 controller as well as the smart controller? I would be interested in how much better the smart controller screen is than a phone in full sunlight...

    Air 2 Goggle Support

Googles will work in HDMI mode with the Spark as I can connect my iphone to the remove or bird via wifi then use the phone lightning port as HDMI out to the goggles (I call this passenger mode as I can fly with the iphone while my passenger gets the goggles). It would only work for the air 2...

Mavic Air 2 does not (currently) support Goggles

I did not check the faq but did review the specs carefully. I only noticed it when I did a side by side with M2P and saw goggles were explicitly supported (with latencies) on the M2P but silent on the MA3 side - so I chatted. I would have been pissed if I ordered then found out.

Mavic Air 2 does not (currently) support Goggles

Yep...I am waiting for goggles to be real with the MA2. I am hopeful it will not be too long. May be a good thing - as now I won't be a bleeding edge early copter adopter.. The only mode I often use with the goggles is the Tripod mode, when I want full control and take stable video. When I...

Mavic Air 2, looks great.... so what doesn't it have?

I updated my sheet with the MA2 and was about to buy one until I saw no Goggles support (for now anyway).

Mavic Air 2 does not (currently) support Goggles

They said "the developers are working on it" which could mean a few days or never. I presumed it would be easy to get it to work with the cable as the goggles are android based. I almost hit buy on for the flymore - I liked the MA2 on all other key features. I like having the option of...

Mavic Air 2 does not (currently) support Goggles

I added the MA2 to my comparison spreadsheet and was about to hit buy (I have a spark+goggles)...but I chatted with support to ensure my goggles would be supported. They said not at this time! So now entering wait mode. The MA2 had all the features I wanted with a lower cost.
