The camera settings you choose makes the Mavic pro camera either horrible or Gorgeous, depends on the settings you use. Plus keeping in in manual instead of auto helps tremendously. I use to have a phantom 3 and it’s camera was good to go outta the box but the Mavic is a totally different beast...

If you're part 107 then you need an authorization before flying within hickory's class D airspace

Some do and some don't so if you're flying in restricted airspace make sure you give the hickory regional airport a call especially if you're within two miles of the airport which is what they told me before I got my authorization that they were only concerned if you're close by the airport...

I've always wanted to fly Wilmington and I have a friend that is a chef in Wilmington at a place called Beach Shop and Grill which I need to go visit so I can fly in Wilmington hopefully one day soon

Wish I could join you but I live up towards the mountain side of NC. I'm a chef as well during the evening and commercial uav pilot during the day or actually anytime I'm not cooking lol[emoji111]️

Boating inputs or accesses around the lakes shouldn't give you any problems for flying as long as they're not in controled airspace. I live in Hickory and I fly at all of the boating inputs on Lake hickory without any problems.
