I use an app called UAV forecast and it sent me a notification of a TFR (temporary flight restriction) so I checked out the FAA site. It's valid until 3 pm on Sunday, August 6th.

Right but a higher altitude will improve the angle of the radio signals between the aircraft allowing you to better control the gimbal.

Yeah, but this doesn't work on it's own. There's a few YouTube videos that ended up coming up with more or less the same sequence I outlined above.

At the edge of your range, have you tried increasing altitude 1-2 meters? I had this problem until I slightly improved the angle and was able to control the gimbal

This sequence works: 1) Disable auto record in Settings 2) Start in FPV mode and take off 3) Tap the screen to focus on a landmark in the distance 4) Once the camera has been focused, start recording 5) Switch to Waypoint mode, load your mission and start it
