Have you made photos only, or? Because if I were to come across something this rare, and it gave me a full 15 minutes to view it, I would definitely have considered filming it. Not saying I don't believe you, but it would have helped.

How low do you typically go with your batteries, percentage wise? And what in general is your charging policy so to speak? Perhaps that can shed some light on what happened. In any case, this sucks. :-/ Hopefully you can fix it somehow or find an affordable replacement.
