    Renewing DJI Care Refresh

Out of interest, for the coverdrone policy, how does it work? Would they pay out the cost to buy a replacement at retail(less the excess), e.g. for the mini would be £419 in which case you end up with a 2nd controller etc. Or are there ways to buy just the drone & battery?

Is there any point in a drone in the UK?

Unfortunately not, from what I can see, it's either DJI refresh (which doesn't cover loss), dedicated drone insurance (where the excess is 25% of the cost of the drone), or possibly your home insurance (but I've checked and mine has a specific exclusion for drones). I'm probably going to go for...

    Renewing DJI Care Refresh

Oh yeah, I totally get that it will cover you in the scenario the drone is totally lost (but I'm a good swimmer :p), but how often are you likely to drop it into the water vs smashing it into a tree? (I guess depends where you fly) Coverdrone's liability only insurance is £16.80, that plus the...

    Renewing DJI Care Refresh

New Mini 2 owner here and been looking at the options between DJI Refresh and insurance, Coverdrone have a £100 excess don't they? Which is double the Refresh fee*, obviously it also includes the liability insurance and would cover you for loss, but in terms of damage/replacement, it's a lot...

Is there any point in a drone in the UK?

Thanks for the advice, I think a big open field is definitely a good plan!! Looking at the Dji refresh for £45 - guessing that's worth getting for the first year at least, since I'm likely to have some... accidents! Although that doesn't cover flyaways, so maybe drone insurance instead (which I...

Is there any point in a drone in the UK?

Yeah, that's more what I meant, I've installed the DJI app, and it tells me it's an authorization zone. TBH, as you've said, flying inside with restricted space is probably a bad idea - especially since the mini 2 doesn't come with prop guards!

Is there any point in a drone in the UK?

Thanks for the replies, not quite as grim as it appears for a newbie then! I definitely intend to follow the rules - at almost 40 I've lost all interest in being a **** for the sake of it, but obviously there are rules, and then there are "rules"... ;). Would I be right in thinking it's a bit...

Is there any point in a drone in the UK?

Hi all, My son has asked for a drone for Christmas, and after a bit of research on what would be most suitable for him, I've got him a Mini Whoop to play around with in the house. Only problem is, all this research has made me want one too, so I've just ordered myself a Mavic Mini 2 for a good...
