Thanks, I agree with a lot you've said although I'll try both manual and auto for comparison. Bushie put me onto Hugin, a free download to stitch images. I put my 3 image pano and the other 2 images together very quickly. Problem solved! Very low light for these so control points were an issue...

I see what you mean here and I'll try different settings before buying any more software. LR is fine for me atm. I downloaded PTGui trial for a play but it contains too many tricks for an old dog!

I had this happen to me last week out of the blue! No idea why but I went into 'camera' and set the parameters I wanted. This fixed it for me.

Thanks for your ideas, I'll try more overlap and play with the manual settings some more. I agree that there's probably too much uncommon points to match up too so not worth the effort this time. Is there a software you recommend?
