    Terrible drone range

Try another location. You live in Bali, can’t you just fly it out from the beach to the middle of the ocean?

    Terrible drone range

Yes, “seriously”. Why do you feel the need to reply with a novel response? If DJi was trying to make this information clear for everyone, it would be in the exact same spot as where I quoted it. Instead, their marketing team obfuscated it elsewhere. This isn’t the definition of being clear at...

    Terrible drone range

I still disagree with you. The fact they put a subnote on this and referenced this elsewhere OUT OF SIGHT and NOT CLEAR for the average person, makes it UNCLEAR. If DJI advertises this on a box at a store, people are going to read "Wow it goes 10km!!! I can fly 10km!!!" Not many people are going...

    Terrible drone range

LOL where is it clear they mention this? People just aren’t being smart by testing these limits and trying to use it realistically like this. That’s like me saying that since I own a McLaren, I should be driving 200mph to the grocery store on a daily basis on public roads. From their site...

    Range Boosters

LOS means that the signal from my controller to the drone was “clear”. I did not mention VISUAL line of sight with my naked eye.

    Range Boosters

Actually, it doesn’t work like this. A bigger antenna fitted to the same transmitter will only change the signal pattern and shape. If you want more power, you would need to physically modify the transmitter pcb board or somehow unlock it in software. The FCC limits this by law so that we aren’t...

    Range Boosters

Yep, this. I can personally fly around 2000-3000ft over urban area with trees blocking my LOS. Earlier today I tested out in the country with clear LOS and was able to achieve 10,000ft and could have kept going. With that, why do people feel the need to fly this far away?

    Terrible drone range

Ocusync uses either 2.4 or 5.8ghz for transmission, the controller/drone will switch depending on interference and distance levels. ADSB is 978 or 1080mhz.

    I got *VERY* lucky!

Would like to see proof of it happening. Ken Heron on YouTube flies under bridges allllll the time without any issues.

Is your sd card U3 rated?

Well It Was Bound To Happen!

While this is true that it will try to auto land itself, you can keep the left stick up to fight against the drone from landing while you make your way back home.

Well It Was Bound To Happen!

Well you live in Bali which is considered a 3rd world country. To afford a mavic air 2 you must be quite rich in Bali lol.

    No compass on iPad mini

Search. Topic has been beaten to death. There needs to be a sticky or put in an FAQ about this.

    Unscheduled RTH Test

Use the mini map in the bottom left corner to show where you’re at, and it’ll even show you how to get back “home”. I’ve done this in near pitch black environments with the LED light activated. Can be scary but keep calm, and just use your telemetry correctly and you’ll be safe.
