I filmed this last week near the town of Chehalis, along the Newaukum River, in Southwest Washington State. The waters receded temporarily, but are rising again now that heavy rains have returned.

Note on the slow motion tests: it was very difficult to line up shots correctly, as each drone has very different crop factors when shooting slow motion. I would say that the Air 3S beats the Mavic 3 Pro by a considerable margin when shooting slo-mo.

I will only fly up through a layer of fog if I can tell its very thin. I didn't have a hole to fly through, but I could tell the top of the layer was just a few hundred feet up. Navigation is easy so long as you have GPS (which the fog doesn't seem to affect), and so long as you don't fly too...

I had no problems with radio signal or GPS, the fog really doesn't seem to affect that at all. The biggest problem was with the sensors. There wasn't an issue with my first and second flights, but after I'd flown up above the cloud layer and was on my way back down, the downwards sensors kept...

I filmed this video with the DJI Air 3S on a foggy day in the Capitol Hills of Western Washington while out documenting the imperiled groves of legacy forests which may still be found here.

It's always interesting to compare not only the volume of drones, but the quality of the noise as well!

This waterfall is completely innaccessible from the ground, so I used the long lenses on the Mavic 3 Pro to film it from a distance.
