    Max distance 800m. What's wrong?

I think these range tests achieve one thing only - confidence in normal LOS use.

    Max distance 800m. What's wrong?

It depends on the area. In an urban area with high interference, you might get more range using 5.8GHz. That said, 2.4GHz has a longer range, and if you don't have interference this is the best option. You'll note this is the reason there is such a big variance in range tests. Range tests done...

    MA cloaking ability

This thread is SO TRUE. I find it vanishes quickly. It's a stealth drone despite the initial buzz. I had a group of people helping me keep LOS. Thankfully there were clouds we could use to refer to where it was.

Mavic Air or wait for Mavic Pro 2....

I hear this a lot. Mavic Pro owners would have this perception. Looks like a Spark, sounds like a Spark, must be a Spark! I'd would think so.... Right? Thankfully, the perception is proven incorrect by evidence. And that is a good thing. Means as per usual, DJI hasn't been resting on their...

Glenn checking in from Sydney, Australia

Thanks mel.m Any good spots around the area you suggest shooting around Northern Beaches? I am located in Neutral Bay, which is within the restricted zone attached the the harbour. However on the back part of this, there are some pretty spots on the inner harbour.

Glenn checking in from Sydney, Australia

Took off from North Head. It's more convenient, and as per Can I Fly There? it's the better side to take off from. (south head is home to the Navy base, so wouldn't take off from there).

Glenn checking in from Sydney, Australia

Hi All, Brand new pilot here from Sydney, Australia. Purchased my very first drone, a Mavic Air on release a few weeks back. Have been flying it for a few weeks now, and loving it. I took the Mavic Air out yesterday to the entrance to Sydney Harbour. There is a small gap there where it falls...

    Sphere photo?

I've noticed recently that if you upload the stitched photo to Google Photos, it automatically produces an interactive 360 version of the image, which in-turn can be added to Google Maps/Street View.

    Vibrating Motors In Cold Temperature

    Panorama modes on mavic air

I think you should be able to use How to make 360 degree photo for facebook to covert the 360 to an actual 360. I know at least that on an iPhone it detects the difference and lets you pan around the image. Further to this, you can them upload these images to Google for a 360 view. This site...

Mavic Air has image signal processor from Phantom 4 Pro - Nice!

Extremely good reply Cliff_622. Very informative. Thank you. I am not as familiar with drones as I am with DSLR's. This makes a lot of sense, and I suppose I've chosen the right drone to cut my teeth on in the Mavic Air. I was considering the Pro over the Spark (Spark didn't win me over...
