Don't be afraid, these things are simple to take apart and replace parts. At that point the parts should be available and cheap enough.

I am selling my mavmount in the classified section, used a single time (worked great) but sold my mavic .. if anyone is interested.

Don't use memory clean apps, stuff like that is simply going to cause more issues. If the issue persists do a reset on the phone and start fresh. Thinking memory cleaning apps work makes me wonder what else you have installed (harsh I know, but that junk doesn't work).

The stock filters are junk though. Polar Pro filters are leaps and bounds better with zero issues.
