My cousin in Northern Idaho LOVES DJI drones and flys whenever he can. So someone gave him this jacket and he loves it! Thought you might get a kick out of it.
Welcome Damien - I'm from Meridian as well and I fly a MA occasionally just for fun as a hobbyist. This forum is great for learning and general info on not only the Mavic Air but drones in general.
When I did research on this forum and elsewhere last year for a good monitor (other than my phone) everything pointed to the Ipad Mini 4. I purchased that and haven't looked back. It's a good fit.
Welcome dcrist, I am a newer hobbyist with a Mavic Air and I live in the Meridian area as well! We should think about gathering a few local members and maybe trying to get together one day for flying somewhere
I did some mild research on forum to get the most recommended display for my Mavic Air and by far the most frequently recommended was the Ipad Mini 4. Although I didn't want to spend that much, that is what I purchased and it works flawlessly for me.
I don't own a Mavic Pro ( I have the Air) but I was wondering why it may have hit the tree to begin with. Doesn't it have obstacle avoidance or was that feature turned off at the time of the crash? Just curious.
So if I remember correctly, there is a map (on my Ipad mini display it's on the lower right) and on the lower left is a radar looking circle with another arrow. Is this the one you are referring to that will show where I (and the controller) am? And thanks for you input.
Almost embarrassed to admit cause after it happened I realized that I should have known. First off I'm a newbie with a Mavic Air and I'm also geographically challenged. Was out in the desert where I could fly safely quite a distance as there are no houses, people, animals, etc. for miles. So I'm...
I've only had my MA for about 4 weeks and flown 5 times, haven't watched over it for an exact amount of time to recharge the controller, but I think it's about 45 min to one hour.
I'm a new owner of a Mavic Air, my first drone. I would welcome any contact from a local enthusiast to share tips or fly time together, etc. Been watching lots of Youtube to help learn all features of the Air. Had it out about 5 times and so far, so good! Looking forward to keeping up to date...
