I'm sure that's true, but I've been too lazy to attempt a derivation of the relevant equations. (In particular, the conversions between the A/C coordinate system and true [north, east, up] coordinates make my head spin, and the effect of acceleration/deceleration on the pitch/roll/tilt angles...
True, and they even appear there for the old Mavic Air 2, therefore not courtesy of DJI as with the newer models. However, for the Air 2 they appear only sporadically and don't appear to make much sense.
I quizzed Airdata about them but didn't get any of my questions answered.
What is your...
I've been told that newer DJI drones, including the Mavic Air 3, report ambient wind speed, direction, and more in their log files! (For example, the latest versions of Mike Singer's "Flight Reader" software list the following 7 new columns of flight data in their log-file reports...
I should have explained my purpose here. DJI wants the logs from the drone to investigate the problem encountered in the referenced thread. I just don't want to give them wholesale access to all my flights for privacy reasons. I thought I could extract the logs relevant to this problem flight...
There must be flight logs (or other failure logs that document a communication-loss RTH) stored on the drone itself. (Obviously I could find no information on the mobile device after a permanent communication loss.)
I searched the drone's memory, both internal and external, and could find...
Is there any useful information on the drone itself relative to this problem?
I finally got the DJI advisors on their forum to understand what my problem was. (Too many words, I guess.) They've had me upload the flight records from my iPhone to Dropbox for review. Maybe I'll get something to...
Riteguy -- I must be missing something then. Their compatibility table indicates that all of the recent FW versions are only amenable to "Speed Boost" and not Downgradable. -- jclarkw
>>Was this in the same drone switch on?<< Yes.
Connect and turn on RC > DJI Fly loads > "Turn On Bluetooth to allow 'DJI Fly' to Connect to Accessories" > Can't get further without hitting "Close."
Sometimes complains about location services at this point, but this time it didn't.
When drone...
OK, I tried logging out of DJI Fly. As expected, I can still take off (with DJI Fly 1.12.0 and the GPS antenna screened on the drone). After landing, if I unplug the phone from the RC, the system no longer responds to CSC, as noted before.
If I take off with the phone plugged in and then...
