    Exporting GPS tracks?

Thanks! I appreciate the head's up. I knew it was being recorded, so I figured there must be a way to convert it over. I'll give it a shot.

    Exporting GPS tracks?

Hello all, I've searched the web for this info, but everything I'm seeing is older info, involving older drone models. We're using the Mavic 2 Enterprise (Zoom and non-zoom models) for work, and one of the tasks is Search and Rescue. I'm trying to find out how we can export the GPS track...

Flying A Drone In Whistler - Easier Then You Think

Sorry, I shouldn't laugh, but that story about the 3 hour wait over Campbell's chunky soup is hilarious! :p I don't blame you one bit...that would have lost my interest in crossing the border as well. You've got to love the government (and some of its' employees). I'm not at all surprised...

Flying A Drone In Whistler - Easier Then You Think

OK, thanks. But in the case of guns, you're generalizing quite a bit. ;) I'm very up to date on the laws of bringing firearms into Canada as an American, and it's really not all that tough, depending on the type. Many overlanders who do the AlCan and on up to Prudhoe Bay bring along shotguns...

Flying A Drone In Whistler - Easier Then You Think

Thanks, I appreciate the info. But these drones will both be registered in the US, and marked appropriately. It's my understanding they do not also need to be registered in Canada, right?

Can Local Police Ask To See Drone License

Exactly. I took my Part 107 class and test a couple weeks ago, and the entire class was public safety. There were about 8 firefighters from a couple departments, and the rest of us 25 or so, were LEO's. All of us were going through to get on our agencies drone teams (Sorry... "UAS Teams"...

New Pilot Question - Can I fly yet?

Anyone know how long it takes to get your official cert? I've had my temporary one for a couple weeks now, and was just curious if it normally takes weeks, or months?

Flying A Drone In Whistler - Easier Then You Think

I'm going to have to do some looking into Canadian drone laws in the near future. Myself and some friends will be going to Alberta and BC on a motorcycle ride this summer, and bringing a couple drones along (likely a Mini and a MPro), from the US.

Can Local Police Ask To See Drone License

The part I put in bold is not the case. Departments are not certifying LEO's in part 107 so they can take enforcement action.

    Video beginner questions

I appreciate the information. the framerate was a whole other can of worms I didn't want to open, but since you did, I'm curious about it as well. I've read that the cinematic look is 24FPS in the US, and that 60 is smoother. I also have heard people say Peter Jackson used a 48FPS on The...

    Sweden in December

Great video, and stunning scenery, thanks for sharing. It's on my bucket list, for sure.

    Winter clips from Finland

I enjoyed it. Gorgeous scenery and excellent filming. I wasn't a huge fan of the jerky movements, but those paled in comparison to how much I liked the rest of the video. Even though the summer scenes at the lake were outstanding, I think I would have saved them for another video, and kept...

    Video beginner questions

Hello all, I tried asking this in the Mini sub-forum, but I didn't get any responses, so I'm hoping for better luck here. I have a little experience in digital photography, including using manual settings, post processing, etc. But I am a complete beginner when it comes to video. With the...

Ditched my Mavic 2 Zoom, ordered the Mavic Mini

The Mini will work phenomenally for me on motorcycle trips. One of my good friends brings his Mavic Pro on our rides, but as small as it is, it still takes up a fair amount of real estate on a motorcycle, especially with all the other camping gear. The Mini will be incredible for this role...

Ditched my Mavic 2 Zoom, ordered the Mavic Mini

I got a good laugh at you comment. I just have to be the party pooper about the, “makes short work of people you strongly dislike” comment...? The Global Hawk can’t carry ordnance. For dealing with those people you’re going to need the much smaller Reaper or Predator. ;)
