You can get in within 48 hours of purchasing anywhere. You can get it after that as well, but you have to take extra steps and prove that your drone isn't faulty. Contact DJI on their site and they'll lead you through the process. I suspect that grace period is limited but have never heard.

People are nuts to be posting stuff like this. If the FAA decides to start combing youtube and handing out fines, this would make it too easy. It would be like me posting a video of driving 120mph on a local highway.

I agree with the rest of your post... but he states that he's over a mile high... that's quite clearly an infraction.

Agree with Cut.Aussie. I've seen this complaint too many times. If you want smooth video with this much detail, shoot 2.7k 30fps. You could also correct with this technique.

Just give Best Buy a call in Honolulu and ask. In my local Best Buy here in the midwest, they have a lot now and they were out for months, so DJI does seem to have caught up in production. Lots of Amazon places are shipping the same day as ordered, as well.

So I do see different variations of that (this thread says 100), but I don't think the Mavic would ever recognize you're 100 miles away and prompt you. I think that's exactly why the advice to recalibrate.. so the Mavic realizes the different neighborhood.

Just curious... Where did you hear you should recalibrate if more than 50 miles? I've never heard that and don't see it in the manual.

If you right click and go to 'Stats for Nerds', it shows 30fps and lots of dropped frames. Extreme foliage loves to eat bit rate but while 60fps would generally show more detail, I hear that 1080p 60fps looks like crap on the Mavic, so... limited options... and I suspect that youtube makes a lot...

Just wanted to leave this here in case someone close to me gets into the Mavic world and is looking to go do some flying. I'm just starting out in the UAS world with a Mavic but I can tell I'm going to always enjoy this. :) Thanks! Jeff
