Which will be enough to lift a large surf fishing sinker and bait.

My only concern would be when your 200 plus meters out into the water and you can not see the drone or the line clearly is when turning 180 degrees to unhook the line that it may get caught up in the props ?

The main camera was a sony rx100 @ 1080 25p
The mavic was @ 2.7k and I think on auto on that fishing footage.
After the fishing was done I took a few videos of the lake and mountains with a 16 ND filter @ 2.7k 25p /
100 ISO and 50 shutter speed.
That footage looks heaps better.

You definitely have to have nerves of steel to block out in Your mind that you flying above the water, you definitely don't want to get distracted.
I can also connect up a GoPro floating handle to the current coat hanger rig just incase it does go for a swim.

I'm only hooking up the line and taking it out then dropping it.
I will also make a new rig up with a bungee rope with fishing line and lure trolled behind the mavic too.
I just have to be prepared for the drone to drown if I hook a large fish...

I made up a hook from a metal coat hunger and connected it through the back landing pads with cable ties.
My setup works by flying out and then doing a 180 deg turn and then the lop I have in the fishing line drops of the hook.
I tested it today and my son ending up hooking up...
