Same here unless I have a very clean flat area to land.
I find the landing pad pretty useless with the MM3 as the props and gimbal are so close to the ground.
I use UAV forecast and check both. Usually check at 100 and 200 feet.
If it's kind of borderline for me I just fly out into the wind.
I've heard a lot of critisisms of UAV forecast but I find it's a pretty good guide for wind speeds.

Yes you do get some with the M3P but I've had no problem correcting in Photoshop.
Defo check the lens cover fit and then contact dealer or DJI.
My only complaint with the camera is the slight vignetting in Raw. However considering the size of the lens its to be expected.
Overall I would say the camera is pretty amazing.
