FIXED! :)
My Mavic Pro course is again completely unlocked. Sorry for all the frustration this caused!
I'm going to ask our delivery folks to extend the free period another week, too, to the end of July. But to be on the safe side, watch it sooner rather than later.
All,
We're still working on fixing the accidental re-locking of this course. (We were closed for the holiday week, so most members of our delivery team were off last week.)
I'll post here the moment I've heard it's been unlocked again!
Huge apologies to everyone who's tried to access my course the last couple of days but found it's mostly locked up. It's SUPPOSED to be completely unlocked until July 24.
I've emailed our delivery team to ask them to unlock it again. Hopefully they'll do so before the weekend is out...
Thanks for the head's up -- I've edited my original post to reflect that you can access all the videos using the Contents tab! Definitely no need to sign up to watch the whole course, and definitely no bait and switch intended!
I hope this post isn't considered spammy, and I trust the admins will kill it if so!
I'm a senior content manager at Lynda.com, the online education website, and I'm the instructor in a "tips and tricks" course on the Mavic Pro that we recently published.
I've spent a LOT of time lurking here...
The form factor's nice, but a two-axis gimbal? Meh.
Like others, I'm eager to see what changes a new version of DJI GO 4 brings to the Mavic and Phantom families!
You'll want to get a flame-retardant lipo bag for each of your spare batteries, too. They're inexpensive and available on Amazon and elsewhere.
But yes! I took my Mavic Pro to Hawaii in January and we had a great time. Mavic in carry-on baggage, with batteries in lipo bags, also in carry-on.
I'm referring to the option in the Gimbal page's Advanced Settings page.
Choosing it makes the gimbal do its little dance, but what's it REALLY doing under the hood? I've seen different -- and conflicting -- details on this.
Very much agreed! I like to say that when I'm on the ground, I've got gravity exactly where I want it. But as soon as I take off, that equation flips. I'm very willing to take a few minutes to make sure I'm ready to go up against gravity.
Thanks VERY much! These are exactly the kind of details I was hoping for. So fascinating that so much precision can be built into such a tiny package. (And I'm referring to the MEMS as well as the Mavic as a whole here!)
This is a "I'm curious to know what's going on under the hood" question, not a problem report.
I'm writing some stuff about the Mavic Pro and would love to include some technical details on what's happening during IMU warmup. Does the IMU actually need to be at a prescribed temperature to work...
