iPad mini 4 is good. I don’t get any pixilation. I does seem to run especially smooth after a restart and of course all background apps closed.

I have wondered if it may have anything to do with the temperature of the drone. Could an overheating battery cause any interference or malfunctions?

Yeah I use the iPhone se all the time to fly. Especially when I am wanting to travel lite and forgo carrying my iPad mini 4 and the mounts. The processing power of the se is amazing. There is know pixilation and the app never crashes. The only drawback is that the screen is so small. But it is...

iPhone se is a cheap alternative. If the screen is big enough for you.
