I hear ya man, I'm doing exackly the same thing here in Nova Scotia. I avoid civilization and fly over wet areas, salt marshes and open ocean. I wouldn't even bother to go looking.

I don't own a mini but I have flown my Phantom, Mavic and Spark all with no tablet or smartphone. They fly just fine.

How do you actually find something like a Mavic in salt water? Must have been relatively shallow I would guess. I fly over salt water almost every flight, I wouldn't even bother to go looking.

There are many threads here about the proper use and maintenance of LiPo batteries. However the short answer is that storing LiPo's fully charged is harmful to them and degrades their performance over the long term. Hi Larry, Can't really say that I have many suggestions for fall foliage. I seem to be obsessed with flying mostly over salt marshes, coastlines and deserted beaches. I know, death wish, huh. ;) I live near a lake though so sometimes I get some good foliage photos from up above the lake. Cheers

Only if you need to use it. LOL Seriously though, I purchased 2 care refresh packages and didn't use either of them. Somehow I consider that a win for me. Hopfully if you do decide to purchase it, you'll never need it either. But if you do.....
