    Anyone in Nova Scotia

Hi Boyabat, welcome, lots of great info here for new pilots and seasoned pilots alike. I'm a bit outside of Halifax and haven't flown much this summer yet but as the weather improves, I'll be getting out more. I usually fly over water so I'm not sure you'd want to fly with me to start with but...

    Joe from Nova Scotia Canada

Hey Joe, John From Lake Echo. Have a Mavic Pro among other DJI birds which I love to fly around here. Almost exclusively over water. Welcome to the forum.

Drone flew 600m away from me - out of my control!

By all means, post your flight data. There are very helpful persons here that can help determine exactly what happened to your mini. In a 'normal' configuration upon losing your control signal to the drone, it should have risen to the RTH height and returned to the homepoint. Only analyzing your...

    Lost in the ocean

I hear ya man, I'm doing exackly the same thing here in Nova Scotia. I avoid civilization and fly over wet areas, salt marshes and open ocean. I wouldn't even bother to go looking.

    Lost in the ocean

Oh wow, man, that really sucks. Feeling sorry for you. If you're not sure what happened or would like the experts here to analyze your flight logs, please post them here from your mobile device to try and determine what happened and what can be learned from your mishap.

Mavic mini lost connection while flying, total loss, 4 days old, no help from DJI.

Sorry for the loss of your new mini, very disappointing. If you post your flight data from your phone here, some of the experts may be able to determine exactly what happened during your flight. This may also help in your discussions with DJI if it can be determined that it was in fact a...

    Flying with no FPV device

I don't own a mini but I have flown my Phantom, Mavic and Spark all with no tablet or smartphone. They fly just fine.

Mavic mini - RTH function inoperative?

Perhaps this user manual might be of some help to you. https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/Mavic_Mini/Mavic_Mini_User_Manual_v1.0_en.pdf

Mavic Mini, first flight, first scare!

Exactly what I was thinking, a 245g drone 66m in the air. What could possibly go wrong?

6,300 ft up with 5% battery

How do you actually find something like a Mavic in salt water? Must have been relatively shallow I would guess. I fly over salt water almost every flight, I wouldn't even bother to go looking.

    Mavic Pro battery self discharge.

There are many threads here about the proper use and maintenance of LiPo batteries. However the short answer is that storing LiPo's fully charged is harmful to them and degrades their performance over the long term. Therefore DJI batteries are programmed tp self discharge to proper storage level...

    Drone down

Wow, what an ordeal. If you can post your logs it would be interesting to determin what happened. Thank goodness you had refresh and were able to retrieve your bird. Would be nice to know why it veered to the left.

    Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada

Hi Larry, Can't really say that I have many suggestions for fall foliage. I seem to be obsessed with flying mostly over salt marshes, coastlines and deserted beaches. I know, death wish, huh. ;) I live near a lake though so sometimes I get some good foliage photos from up above the lake. Cheers

DJI Care Refresh worth the Money ?

Only if you need to use it. LOL Seriously though, I purchased 2 care refresh packages and didn't use either of them. Somehow I consider that a win for me. Hopfully if you do decide to purchase it, you'll never need it either. But if you do.....
