Can anyone help? Re-register my MA2 as having RID so I can fly in the US.

yes, it's a million percent cringe. Sure, tell him to just fly any where he wants. What could go wrong there? Tourist in Tourist areas? Has to be safe to fly there. Don't stop there though with the sage advice. Don't wear your seatbelt, yell "FTP!!" at every patrol car you see, and...

Still no RID-compliant serial numbers for DJI Mavic Air 2 drones

According to the FAA, if you've already registered a drone for Recreational Use, and originally answered "No," then you have to register it as a new drone when adding RID. The following is the citation, and the link to the FAA source webpage: If you previously listed a drone and answered “No”...

Still no RID-compliant serial numbers for DJI Mavic Air 2 drones

I did not have to delete and create a new. I just changed the Remote ID to "Yes". Now, it did take me 3-4 attempts to get the number right. I ended up taking a screenshot on my iPhone DJI Day app, expanding it, and then use that to enter it on my laptop. IDK, maybe I'll make a YouTube video...

Still no RID-compliant serial numbers for DJI Mavic Air 2 drones

I was able to register my Air 2 about 1 or 2 months ago. The RID number is your serial number with a small sequence before it. As mentioned earlier, 1581F1WN is one of a possible few prefixes. The RID SN will be in your DJI Fly app bound to your Air 2.

How many satellites are there to hook up with?

Ha! Well if you need any sleepy time material, you got one more source of snooze material. The reason I'm more familiar with this math model is it's what GPS Control Segment uses to update the satellites. There's a number of monitoring stations around the world (Diego Garcia, Cape Canaveral...

How many satellites are there to hook up with?

Just a few comments, as a former US Air Force GPS satellite operator. Your number of satellites is changing because the satellites are orbiting at a 12 hour interval. Meaning, they rotate around the Earth once every 12 hours, or twice per day. They're at a 55-63 degree inclination (relative...

    Wanted: GNSS/GPS Receiver

I did something similar with FliteTest Remote ID module. I found a rechargeable coin battery (LiR2035) and 2-battery case for it, and used a 3D printed case hold the RID broadcast module on the coin battery case. It has an on/off switch, and I get about an hour or more from the 2 fully charged...

    Wanted: GNSS/GPS Receiver

FliteTest RemoteID module has GPS outputs... Just an idea, and it's about $90
