The earlier iPad did indeed dim, but I am talking about the 2021 iPad Pro with the new mini-LED display (only the 12.9"). I have used for a few outdoor gigs this summer and it is brilliant - bright and does not even get hot.

My first reaction was “does it dim in bright sun?” However now having the RC Pro, it does not really matter anymore. BTW I often use my 2021 iPad Pro 12.9” in bright sun (playing music), and that does not dim at all - can easily see in bright sunshine.

The tele lens is the only reason I have kept the Mavic 3 now the Mini 3 Pro is out. The Mini 3 Pro is more useful for me in the UK being able to fly at a lot more locations and i find its image quality quite sufficient, but I do like using the 7x on the Mavic 3, so have retained for that reason...

Yes, the Air 2S is a big step up from the Mini 2 is video quality and ability to fly in windy conditions. The Mavic 3 is only a minor step up in video quality over the Air 2s and unless you need the 7x tele lens, or plan on filming in dark conditions, the Air 2s is the one to get

I think DJI should offer a PRO version of the Mini 3 with as far as possible the features of the Air 2s, but in sub 250g weight. I, and I think others would be prepared to pay the extra for such so they can use those features in locations where the Air 2s cannot fly, due to European legislation...

Mastershots on the Mavic 3 is unusable for me. The drone shakes uncontrollable and I have to abort every time

I am using an iPad 6 and it works fine for me. Unlike the iPhone I have seen no dimming in bright light. But having said that I am in the UK where the conditions are not so bright as some parts of the world. The Tripltek seems the way to go if you are flying a lot in bright Sun light

Those look superb quality. I have Mavic 3 on order and can’t wait, but intend to keep my Air 2s (which is also great) as backup

I bought the iPad Mini 6 for my drone flying and it works great. In fact it is now my most used device period - perfect size for a tablet and has virtually replaced my iPhone as much better to use. The iPad Pro and Air are superb devices, but I think too big for drone flying

I am using the iPad Mini 6 and it works great. I can even use the supplied USB-C cable as it reaches without problem

I got a DJI Mini 2 during lockdown as something I could safely do away from people during the pandemic and have really taken to drone flying, it gives a new perspective on even familiar places. I like flying around castles, cathedrals and such like, showing the countryside and filming steam...

I have not got my Mavic 3 yet, but will just carefully watch screen on RTH and would hit cancel if it looks dangerously close to flying into anything. Having had my Air 2s fly into trees on three occasions I will not fully trust obstacle avoidance on the Mavic 3 until thoroughly tested
